Brighton Aldridge Community Academy has walked away with Playfinder’s November Outstanding Facility Award.

BACA plays a vital sporting role in the local community, increasing recreational sports participation for the students and also children and adults in the area. The contemporary centre can also be hired for sports training, clubs and squads. All are bookable online or through the free Playfinder app.

Sports players in the South Coast area have access to a state-of-the-art sports hall, cricket nets, football pitches and a floodlit Multi Use Sports Area. There are plenty of non-sport facilities too for visitors, including a large conference room, dining hall, hi-tech kitchen and classrooms.

November’s award, which is determined by Playfinder users, is based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.

Playfinder is a tech platform with a mission of making it easier for everyone to play sports, and increase the utilisation of venues as a result. Earlier this month Playfinder hit its £650k crowdfunding target in two weeks and this money will be used to bring the service to more UK cities in 2020.

Jamie Foale, Co-Founder of Playfinder, commented: “BACA’s incredible sports and extracurricular facilities are simply brilliant. The academy benefits the entire community and well done to Darren and Connor who ensure it runs so smoothly during the year.”

Connor Daly at BACA said, “We are thrilled that BACA has received the November Award for Outstanding Facility. At BACA, we strive to keep users of the building content, giving them a reason to want to come back time and time again. Moving forward, we will only look to improve on how we present ourselves and the building to ensure that not only the local community, but also people nationally, look at using our facilities.”
