Playfootball Shepherds Bush has kicked off the New Year in style after winning January’s Playfinder Outstanding Sports Facility Award. It’s the second monthly title the grassroots venue has won after scooping a first in November 2016.

There are ten pristine 4G 5a side pitches available for booking and each has rebound boards to keep the game flowing. The venue plays an important role within the local West London community and has set aside three pitches for residents living in close proximity to the site.

Walking Football is becoming more of a fixture and is a great way to engage the older generations as well as those coming back from a lay-off. Customers with juniors are invited to take advantage of the Pay n Play service, which allows hire of the pitches for a small fee to secure a pitch for an unlimited time.

Players can enjoy games all year around thanks to the floodlights onsite and there are changing rooms available too.

This first grassroots award for 2019, which is determined by Playfinder users, is based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.

Playfinder is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues in London. Users have the choice of over 9,000 of the best facilities around the UK for 17 featured sports. The service has most recently launched in Brighton.

Jamie Foale, Co-Founder of Playfinder, commented: “January is all about shaking off the Christmas cobwebs and getting stuck into some sport to kick-start the year. Playfootball Shepherds Bush remains a really popular facility and our congratulations go to David and his team. ”

David Etches, Playfootball Shepherds Bush Manager said: “We’re very grateful for this Playfinder award as we now enter our 4th year of providing state of the art football facilities to Shepherd’s Bush”.
