Harrow Leisure Centre has won September’s Playfinder ‘Outstanding London Sports Venue Award’.

Everyone Active runs the sports venue on behalf of Harrow Council to deliver a range of activities to the local community.

Two of the sports halls are currently being used for Diwali preparation and only a few weeks ago there was a sponsored fitness evening led by 90s exercise legend Mr Motivator to raise £500 for charity.

In August, the sports centre hosted a free activity day to encourage the community into sport and celebrate Team GB’s Olympic exploits.

On-site there is a gym, alongside two swimming pools, a large sports hall, multi-purpose halls, squash courts, dance studios, table tennis centre, crèche and café.

The 160+ station gym offers the very latest fitness equipment and is overseen by fully qualified staff. The 10 court sports hall provides a range of sports including badminton, basketball, korfball, football and many more. The dance studios are home to an extensive group exercise programme which is designed to suit all ages and abilities.

September’s award, which is determined by Playfinder users, was based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.
