Coram’s Fields, Camden, is the most recent recipient of the Playfinder Outstanding London Sports Venue Award.

The facility saw significant redevelopment in 2013, undergoing a programme of modernization jointly funded by the Coram’s Fields Trust, Sport England (£200,000), The London Marathon Trust (£100,000) and Camden Council (£50,000).

The venue is committed to providing a free resource for local young people, through its own five day a week sports programme, the provision of space for local schools and its commitment to always keeping one pitch free for local young people to use at any given time.

Coram’s Fields provides facilities for a range of sports, including football, rugby, tennis, cricket, athletics, basketball and netball. In addition to activities provided through its Sport, Out of School Club and Youth Programme, local teams from University College London, Birkbeck College and Belsize Park Rugby Club make use of the pitches.

The award, which was determined by Playfinder users, was based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience. Playfinder is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues in London. Users have the choice of over 1,000 venues for 15 featured sports.
